Austin Cox

Background:
Austin Cox joined IMG Financial Group, Inc. in 2008 after graduating Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance. While at Texas A&M, Austin was a member of the Corps of Cadets, the Ross Volunteer Company, and the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band - B Company. Austin grew up in the Clear Lake area of Houston but has lived in Sugar Land, Texas since 2008.
Designations and Licenses:
Austin earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2012 after successfully completing a year-long educational program and passing an exam administered by the CFP® Board. This professional designation has become a widely accepted mark of distinction in the financial services industry.
Austin holds his FINRA Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24 Licenses in addition to his Texas Life and Health Insurance License. Austin is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.
Business Philosophy:
Austin has a passion for service and enjoys helping people reach their financial goals through the implementation of sound financial strategies. He is committed to assisting others in understanding their current finances and helping them to use their funds efficiently. Once this efficiency is achieved, Austin believes individuals and their families will be able to live a more financially confident life, with less fear of the future.
Leadership:
In addition to working with his own clients, Austin has served IMG as the Director of Field Development since 2013. As Director of Field Development, Austin oversees training and accountability for new Financial Advisors at IMG Financial Group, Inc. Austin also serves on the IMG Advisory Board, tasked with the overall leadership and planning of the firm.
Personal:
Austin and his wife, Katie, have three children – Isla, Levi, and Ruby. When away from work Austin and his family enjoy staying active in their local church, Crossbridge, where they lead a community group. Austin also has several hobbies which include playing electric guitar for Crossbridge Church, coffee, hunting, and golf.
